Public Meeting: Office for Exceptional Children, Webinar

The OHDELA Alternative Education Academy has been selected by the Ohio Department of Education, Office for Exceptional Children (OEC), for a review of its special education program. OEC will be in the district on April 28-29, 2020 to complete this review.
OEC is asking parents, guardians and other members of the public to share their views on the OHDELA Alternative Education Academy’s special education program. OEC staff will be at a virtual conference room (see instructions/link below) to take public comments on April 28 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Please register for OHDELA Parent Public Meeting IDEA Monitoring on April 28, 2020 5:00 PM EDT at: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5228864290559586829 After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. ** Please note: The conference room will open at 4:00 pm and the meeting will begin at 5:00 pm. 2. Once you are in the conference room on the day of the scheduled meeting, audio options will be provided. This meeting will be conducted online, but you must register in advance to join.

For information regarding your rights and the formal complaint process, contact the Office for Exceptional Children at 614-752-1404. Information shared, either in writing or during the public meeting, will be considered during the review process, but may not be included in OEC’s summary report to the district.
